My Views on Religion - DWC Day 3

This is an easy one. My view on religion is that it is a way of controlling the weak minded. Church can be a social network and a place to learn about spiritual beliefs. It can be a conduit to help the poor, the sick, and the needy, but it rarely is. I don't believe in one religion or one belief system. I believe in God. I believe in spirituality. I believe that we are all one. I think that prayer is communication with the energies that can create change and miracles in our lives. I believe that many great spiritual leaders have tried to improve humanity with their words and deeds. I also believe that many of their words and deeds have been used to control others to do very evil things such as the Inquisition, the Crusades, the witch trials, or any other Jihad that has been brought down on other human beings. My spiritual belief is that our words, actions, relationships, and lives should be guided by love and that love can heal the world.
